Ocracoke Island is approximately
14 miles in length with about 800 year round residents. Our village
is approximately 1 mile in length while the remaining 13 miles
of the island are beautiful unspoiled beaches. The beaches are
great for walking, shelling, fishing and swimming. Four wheel
drive access on the beach is available in designated areas. The
village is situated on the sound side of the island around Silver
Lake Harbor. Walking or biking easily accesses all points within
