"We had a great stay while we were there last week. The view from the balcony is just amazing. It was absolutely gorgeous at night. We did not do the pool. We went to the beach. Everybody was just so nice and friendly the staff the folks in the office. I actually left my curling iron and I called them when I got home and left a message because they were closed, and I sent them an email, they responded to my email and they had my curling iron and they actually mailed it back to me for which I am so grateful. I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay at the Anchorage."

"The hotel is a little dated, but the staff is helpful. It's located in a great place on the island. I've been staying there for years and I'm planning on staying again next year. Rooms: They could really use microwaves in the room."

"Fantastic location with a pool at the maina. Great view of Silver Lake. Close to restaurants and the ferry. Central location within easy walking distance of bars and stores. Rooms: King bed. Nearby activities: Swimming pool and bars. Walkability: Close to stres. Food & drinks: Howards Pub and the brewery are a must stop in."

"Magnificent view, clean and quiet rooms. Good value. Parking was a challenge especially having to compete with the golf cart community that obviously were not guests of the hotel."

"I was slightly worried about this inn because of the reviews, but I'm happy to report we had a wonderful stay. Nothing beats catching the sunrise and set over beautiful Silver Lake. Our room was clean and all of the staff we interacted with were helpful. We enjoyed the pool across the street after a long day on the beach. The inn is also perfectly located central to everything. My biggest complaint are the beds - they need to be replaced because it’s like sleeping on a concrete slab. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We can't wait to come back! Rooms: Clean rooms, very basic, no frills, harbor views in certain rooms, keurig and small refrigerator Nearby activities: Parasailing, boat rentals, charter fishing, shopping, lighthouse, museum, art studio, British cemetery, Springer’s Point Safety: Very, very safe island. The worst thing you have to worry about are drunks and theft, mostly from the tourists. Walkability: If you don't have trouble walking, then you will be able to walk or bike to wherever you need to go. Food & drinks: Smacnally’s is directly across the street, but there are plenty of options within walking distance."

"Anchorage-NC - All was well. Light on 4th. Floor at the elevator was not working. Really dark at night time. However, great stay. I will recommend and stay again. "
