"We got stuck on Ocracoke after the ferry service was suspended due to weather. Anchorage Inn was the only place we could get in touch with and were blessed with two rooms. The rooms were clean and comfortable after a 4 hour wait at the ferry terminal. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay again. If it sells, we hope the new owners will keep everything the same! We will keep coming back as long as we can - already have our reservations for 2023!"

"We usually rent a house as we have since 1995, but waited too long this year 2022 so took a week at the Anchorage. We loved it. Great view, close to restaurants, awesome pool, and the staff were so friendly. Dale, Eeny, Marco and his sister treated us great and made our stay all the better. Its not a fancy place but we don't need all the fluff. Recommend."

"Very nice staff. Perfect location. The pool is beautiful. Loved how they were dog friendly. We ran into a snag when our boat hit some bad weather - delaying us by a day. The manager offered to move back our reservation by a day to accommodate us. We were overwhelmed by their southern generosity and understanding. We will be coming back for sure!"

"Beautiful, simple rooms with a great view and comfy bed for a great price. I'm so glad we found this inn for our anniversary. It is located across from the marina, we had a great view on the 4th floor, when we called they even changed our room to a better view. We booked online and entry was contactless with our keys ready for us. Everyone was so nice and we were even encouraged to use the facilities after checkout if we needed to, and that was wonderful. They recommended Dajio's for dinner and that was wonderful, too. We will definitely come again! Thanks so much!!"

"First nature created the beach then she created the dog to keep it company. Anchorage Inn & Marina has you covered for a place to stay on Ocracoke with your four-legged friend. Located in the heart of Ocracoke Village it overlooks Silver Lake providing stunning views both day and night. There are four floors. The upper floors are serviced with two staircases located on the left and right of the building and a elevator located on the left (looking at the building). The rooms closest to the elevator have the lowest number, 101 on the first floor. The first floor is easily accessible for those with mobility issues. There is a wooden sidewalk that goes between the two front parking areas. Unloading your vehicle is easy. Ice can be found on the second and fourth floors. Wi-Fi is provided and it is comprable with other places we have stayed on the island. Verizon is my cell phone provider and I choose to use them for data needs. Download speeds average 50 Megs. A pool can be found across the street. The most popular place to watch the sunset on Ocracoke is the boat ramp next to the ferry terminal. A nice crowd gathers each evening. It is a 5 minute walk from inn. Dog Pro Tips: The staff at the inn love your furry faced friend as well. After the easy check-in process you may be offered a biscuit for your buddy. The rooms located nearest the elevator have more foot traffic and noise. If that bothers your dog try to rent a room with a higher number. Overlooking the marina and the harbor your will find a picnic area with several grills and tables. There is a nice area for your furry faced friend to stretch their legs with ample room to run around. Ramp 70 can be found just outside the village and provides the quickest access to the beach. You will be making tracks in the sand in 5 minutes. Check with Tradewinds tackle for current beach access and permit information. Alan & Melinda can help you with all of your fishing needs as well. Bring plenty of water for you and your friend. Make sure you both have access to shade and get plenty of rest. The beach is tiring for everybody. Ocracoke Island is an enchanted place. Add a dog and you have a great lifestyle. Enjoy."

"My daughter and I and our two dogs reserved a room for two weeknights (no availability for weekend)and didn’t want to leave! I let mgmt know and when a cancellation came up we were able to stay an extra night. Had a great time. Stayed on ground floor which was perfect for dogs. Room was super clean and we had everything we needed. King bed was comfortable and all the linens were super fresh. When we arrived the air was set on 67 and we later learned that condensation occurs if the room is kept much warmer than that. Not a problem as the cool room made for good sleep. Our door was a little tricky to unlock (salt air I suspect) but we got the hang of it. Also - and this is a biggie - we felt very safe here. There was a good amount of traffic since we were on the first floor but really, just folks and their families making their way in and out of their spaces and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. The location is great and easily walkable to any spot in the village. Never cared much for pools when I’m at the beach but we enjoyed this one very much, a great way to cool off while watching activity in the harbor. We very much look forward to returning next year!"
